After tons of hype, OnePlus announced its long-awaited mid-range today at a remote event. The OnePlus Nord is the second mid-range phone produced by the brand, developed by OnePlus X 2015. Lets look at OnePlus Nord Specification.

Although the Nord is a cheaper alternative to the OnePlus 8 family, it remains an attractive and well-designed phone. There’s a reasonable amount of power under the hood as well, although it’s definitely not a flagship if you judge it by raw specs.

Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about OnePlus Nord.

OnePlus Nord Price and release date

OnePlus Nord is officially launched today, July 21, 2020, and will launch on August 4 in select regions of the world. Unfortunately, the device will not be available in the United States.

OnePlus will also be offering special online pop-up events for those looking to get early access to the Nord. Customers who miss will have a second chance to buy the phone at the start of July 31 in another 24 pop-up; More details on this are expected next week.

While we recommend that you read (and watch) your practice for more details on the Nord, here are a few things to know about the phone:

The material is mostly plastic and Gorilla Glass 5. This design looks great and looks pretty premium. In fact, it’s hard to tell its plastic apart at all.

The same Oxygen operating system you know and love is here. The phone will ship with OxygenOS 10.5 on Android 10.

OnePlus Nord supports 5G. The phone is capable of providing 5G mmWave and sub-6Ghz variants.

It has two front cameras. The primary front camera is a 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor, while the secondary lens is an 8MP ultra-wide selfie camera.

The main rear camera is the same as that of the OnePlus 8! For the uninitiated, that means there is a Sony IMX586 48MP main camera. This is complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 119-degree field of view. Underneath you’ll find a 2MP macro camera and a 5MP depth sensor.

One role, the drums are impressive. It’s too early to tell how it really works, but you get a robust 4,115mAh battery with 30W of charge. This is the same charging standard as that of the OnePlus 8 series. Below is the OnePlus Nord Specification..

Is the OnePlus Nord worth buying?

As always, only you can make this call. Not to mention that this is a new phone that we haven’t had time to take a good look at yet. We’ll likely have a firmer opinion in the coming weeks, but for now, it all depends on what you’re looking for. This could be a perfect phone if you’re a OnePlus fan that comes from an older OnePlus device and never came on board with the most expensive premium vision the company has changed over the past few years.

While not a flagship, the phone still has to deliver a solid experience and it has the same great Oxygen OS software that you will get with a high-end OnePlus device. Those looking for a future-proof phone will also be happy with the 5G support on board. For budget OnePlus fans, one of the most compelling reasons to get the North is that you can find it for £ 220 cheaper than the base OnePlus 8 model.

All in all, if you want a new phone on a budget and it’s configured on OnePlus, the North is definitely worth a visit. Just be aware that there are plenty of alternative options. We’ll make sure to expand this section with more details and analysis once we’ve had time to fully review it. Comment do you like the OnePlus Nord Specification.

Questions and Answers

Q: When does OnePlus Nord will launch in India?

A: We expect the Nord to launch in India very soon, but OnePlus has yet to confirm an official date.

Q: Does the OnePlus Nord have a headphone jack?
A: Unfortunately, no. OnePlus moved away from the headphone jack a while ago and this remains true for its new mid-ranger.

Q: Does it have stereo speakers?
A: No, the OnePlus Nord has a single bottom-firing speaker.

Q: Will OnePlus Nord work on Verizon?
A: The OnePlus Nord isn’t officially available in the US and while you should be able to import it, the odds of it working on Verizon are pretty much zero. However (in theory), it should work with AT&T, T-Mobile, and MVNOs running on those networks.

Q: Is OnePlus Nord waterproof?
A: There is no waterproof or dustproof rating for the OnePlus Nord. The company says the phone has been internally tested in up to 30cm water for 30 seconds, however the lack of an official rating means we’d recommend not taking the phone for a plunge.
